Hard plastic badge holders provide rigid protection for ID cards, proximity cards, and smart cards that need more support than a flexible holder provides. They help protect credentials from bending, cracking, and everyday abuse.

There are two basic styles: open-face retainers, which leave one face of the card exposed for easy viewing or barcode reading, and enclosed card dispensers, which protect both sides while allowing the card to be removed when needed.
